Terms of Service
The short version: be decent, only upload what you're allowed to share, and don't use Stellic to hurt anyone. The longer version is below.
1. Who can use Stellic
You need to be at least 13 years old, or older if the law where you live says so. By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Your account
- Keep your password and backup codes safe. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
- Give a real email address you can reach. We use it to verify you and to help you get back in.
- One page per person. Don't make accounts to dodge a suspension.
3. Names
- Names are first come, first served, but they aren't property. We can take back a name that impersonates someone, infringes a trademark, is offensive, or sits unused while someone has a real claim to it.
- One-letter names are given out by staff only.
- You can change your name once every 30 days. Your old name is freed straight away.
4. Your content
Everything you put on your page (text, pictures, songs, videos, links) stays yours. You give us permission to store it, show it on your page and make the copies needed to run the site. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from backups that expire on their own.
5. The rules
Don't use Stellic to:
- break the law, or share anything illegal;
- harass, threaten, bully or dox anyone, or encourage others to;
- pretend to be another person, brand or Stellic staff;
- post sexual content involving minors (reported to the authorities), or explicit content on your page;
- spread malware, phishing, scams, or links built to trick people;
- spam, or use automated tools to make accounts, views or hearts;
- attack, overload or probe the site, or get into accounts that aren't yours.
6. Music and media
Only upload songs, videos and pictures you have the right to share. If you own something that's on Stellic without your permission, send a takedown request as described in Reporting abuse and takedown requests and we'll remove it. Accounts that keep uploading other people's work lose upload access or are closed.
Lyrics are looked up from LRCLIB, NetEase Cloud Music and lyrics.ovh. Discord status comes from Stellic's own Discord bot (or Lanyard as a backup), and server cards from Discord.
7. Moderation
Staff can hide pages, remove content, take back names and suspend accounts that break these terms. Where it's safe to, we'll tell you why. If you think we got it wrong, email us.
8. Reporting abuse and takedown requests
If something on Stellic breaks these rules or the law, tell us at [email protected]. Signed-in visitors can also use the report button on any page. Please include:
- the link to the page (stellic.cc/name) and what on it is the problem;
- which rule or law you think it breaks, and any evidence (screenshots, links);
- an email address we can reply to.
Copyright and trademark takedowns. If you own the rights to something posted without permission, also tell us what the original work or mark is, where it's published or registered, and confirm that you are the owner or are allowed to act for them, and that the information in your request is accurate. We remove the content once the request checks out, and tell the person who posted it.
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, or you have the rights to it, reply to our email with your explanation. If it holds up, we restore the content and let the person who reported it know.
What happens next. We aim to reply within 48 hours, and faster for anything dangerous, like threats, scams, phishing, malware or anything that puts a child at risk. Depending on what we find, we remove the content, hide the page, take back the name, or suspend or permanently ban the account; repeat infringers are banned. We report child sexual abuse material to the authorities. Reports made in bad faith, or used to harass someone, are ignored.
Security problems with the site itself can be reported to the same address. Our contact details are also at /.well-known/security.txt.
9. Ending things
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. It removes your page, links, uploads and analytics straight away. We can close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
10. No guarantees
Stellic is free and provided as it is. We work hard to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, or for lost data you didn't keep a copy of. Export your data from Settings whenever you like.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll say so on the site or by email before it applies. Using Stellic after that means you accept the new terms.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms: [email protected]. Abuse, takedown and security reports: [email protected].
